SWARM DEVELOPMENT OF WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT EDUCATION IN THE WESTERN BALKANS IN LINE WITH THE NATIONAL AND EU POLICIES

SWARM is the abbreviation for „Strengthening of master curricula in water resources management for the Western Balkans HEIs and stakeholders“ - an Erasmus+ project under Key Action 2 “Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices - Capacity-Building projects in the field of Higher Education”, which started in November 2018. The project consortium includes six universities from EU and EEA, seven universities from Western Balkan countries, and a Public Water Management Company “Vode Vojvodine” from Republic of Serbia. The Faculty of Hydraulic Engineering at University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Sofia, is the Bulgarian participant in the project. The project duration is 3 years and the project coordinator is University in Nis, Serbia.
The article describes the main objectives of SWARM project, provided working packages, and briefly summarizes the results achieved in the first ten months of the project development.
